Pak will respond positively to invitation

K J M Varma in Islamabad

Pakistan said Wednesday it would react positively to the invitation by Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee to military ruler Gen Pervez Musharraf to visit New Delhi for talks.

In the first reaction to Vajpayee's proposed invitation to Musharraf, Pakistan's Foreign Secretary Inamul Huq said, "If and when the invitation is officially received, Pakistan will respond positively to it."

Huq said Gen Musharraf has time and again said that Pakistan is ready for a dialogue with India.
