Another PIL against Jaya's
appointment as CM

A petition challenging the swearing-in of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam chief J Jayalalitha as the chief minister of Tamil Nadu has been filed in the Supreme Court.

The petition filed by lawyer B R Kapoor raises the question as to how a person disqualified from contesting elections could head a government.

A similar petition was filed at the Madras high court on Tuesday.

Jaya, meanwhile, told reporters in Madras that the two petitions would be dealt with in the respective courts.

"We will tackle the matter legally. Why don't you wait and see," she said.
