Five killed in bomb attack in Assam

Five people, including two Border Security Force personnel and an assistant sub-inspector of police, were killed and three BSF jawans injured in a bomb blast set off by suspected United Liberation Front of Asom militants in Assam's Sibsagar district on Thursday night, senior officials said.

A police constable and the driver of the vehicle were also killed in the attack, they said.

The security personnel were escorting a polling party from Sussry to Somari in a mini truck after polling hours when the explosion occurred.
