Bid to blow up railway station in
Jharkhand foiled, four held

A bid to blow up a railway station was foiled with seizure of bombs and arrest of four persons on Wednesday from a tea stall at the station near Daltonganj in Jharkhand, police said on Thursday.

On a tip-off, police raided a tea stall at the Ramuna station and seized bombs packed in a plastic bag, they said, adding that four persons have been arrested in this connection.

Police said unidentified miscreants had planned to explode the bombs at the station.

Meanwhile, Maoist Communist Centre (MCC) extremists shot dead a security guard in Palamu district while a homeguard was killed by unidentified persons in Nawada district of neighbouring Bihar, they said.
