Opposition, ruling MPs trade allegations,
nearly exchange blows outside Parliament

After both the houses being rocked and subsequently adjourned over the expose of shady defence deals, MPs hurled abuses at each other and came close to a fist fight outside the building on Thursday.

The issue, in which several politicians and defence personnel have been hooked, shifted focus with the exercise seemingly being conducted for the benefit of the waiting camera crews.

The Opposition and the ruling party members stood in two groups. While members of the opposition shouted 'Gali gali me shor hain, Vajpayee chor hain' (The buzz is that Vajpayee is a thief).

NDA members screamed back 'Sare sadan ka ek saval, kahan gaya Bofors ka maal (The House asks only one question, where has the kickbacks from Bofors gone).

'Rishwat ke sawal par khoon bahege sadakon par' (Blood will flow on the streets on the issue of bribes), the Opposition retorted.

To which ruling party members shouted 'Poorane choron shadyantra chhodo' (Old thieves, shun conspiracy) interspersed with 'Rajiv chor, Sonia chor, mia chor, bibi chor' (Rajiv, Sonia are both thieves) and nearly came to blows with Opposition members.
