BJP goes into a huddle before Parliament meets

A Correspondent in New Delhi

The Bharatiya Janata Party met in Parliament annexe on Wednesday morning to discuss the party's strategy in the wake of the defence deals scandal.

The meeting is attended by Prime Minister A B Vajpayee, Home Minister L K Advani and other senior party leaders.

The Opposition has already demanded a timebound statement from the government on the scandal.

Bharatiya Janata Party president Bangaru Laxman is the first victim in a scandal that threatens to snowball.
