The Kerala train mishap

Train tragedy toll rises to 50

The toll in last Friday's train mishap in Kerala rose to 50 with a boy succumbing to his injuries at Calicut's Medical College Hospital on Wednesday.

Ten-year-old Ashique, who was undergoing treatment, died on Wednesday morning, MCH sources said.

Meanwhile, five of the six bogies of the Mangalore-Madras Mail, which fell into the Kadalundi river, had been lifted using cranes, railway sources said.
