Jaya declines to comment on Centre's warning

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on Thursday declined to comment on the Centre's 'warning' to the state government issued in the wake of the arrest of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam President M Karunanidhi and two Union ministers.

"I have nothing to say to the media" said Jayalalithaa to the media personnel waiting at the portico of the secretariat.

The Centre on Wednesday night issued a warning to the Tamil Nadu government against the recurrence of 'unfortunate events' and asked it to bring to book police officers responsible for 'high-handedness' while arresting Karunanidhi and Union ministers Murasoli Maran and T R Baalu.
