Cabinet to discuss quake on Thursday

The Union Cabinet will again discuss the Gujarat quake and is likely to take certain important decisions at its meeting scheduled for Thursday evening.

The meet, to be held before the Cabinet Committee on Disinvestment, will also review the latest situation and rescue and relief operations by various agencies in the worst affected areas, particularly in Bhuj.

An emergency cabinet meeting was called on January 26, the day the quake struck in Gujarat, which had decided to provide all possible assistance to the state.
