Aftershocks continue to rock Bhuj

Aftershocks measuring between 3.3 and 4.5 on the Richter Scale continued to rock the quake-devastated Bhuj area of Gujarat Monday night and Tueday morning, the Indian Meteorological Department in New Delhi said.

Nearly 100 aftershocks, measuring over 3.0 on the Richter Scale, have been recorded in a 50-100 km radius of Bhuj since the massive earthquake of January 26.

Micro-tremors measuring less than 3.0 would number over 300.

Since Monday night, six aftershocks have been recorded in the area.
