Ayodhya's Ram temple model to be displayed at Kumbh Mela

Our Correspondent in Allahabad

A 40-foot replica of the Ram Mandir which is being constructed in Jaipur, will be brought to Allahabad during the Kumbh Mela and will be placed at the 'Sangam' (the spot where the Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati converge).

The model of the temple is expected to reach the city on the evening of January 4, and will be ready for display within three days.

Nearly 10 million people are expected to attend the Kumbh Mela which begins on January 9.

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad, which plans to hold the Kar Seva in Ayodhya for the construction of the Ram temple in October 2001, intends to mobilise public support by displaying the temple model during the Kumbh Mela.
