CCS meeting on Kashmir cancelled

Our Correspondent in New Delhi

The crucial Cabinet Committee on Security meeting, that was to take a decision on the extension of ceasefire in Jammu and Kashmir, was postponed indefinitely on Sunday.

National Security Advisor Brajesh Mishra said the CCS meeting was called off because a National Disaster Management Group meeting in Parliament House took too much time.

Mishra, who is also Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's principal secretary, did not indicate when the CSS would meet next.
