FTV chief seeks meet with Sushma

Clearly perturbed over the government monitoring Fashion TV, its promoters are flying in to meet Information and Broadcasting Minister Sushma Swaraj and find ways to continue beaming programmes to India.

Swaraj said the ministry would prepare a report along with some recordings on the basis of its observations about the channel and show these to the Consultative Committee attached to her ministry, which is meeting on February 15.

She said Fashion TV promoter Michael Adams would fly in from Paris for a meeting with her after February 15.

Asked by a media person what she found offensive in Fashion TV, she quipped: ''You see the channel for a few hours and then tell me what you think of it.''
