Thirty-five fishermen were killed when a fishing boat capsized during a storm in the Arabian Sea,.

The Al-Qadri II capsized last Monday, but the Fishermen Co-operative Society announced the accident only on Thursday.

An official of society, Haji Ghazanfar Ali Boota, said he could not confirm a report that the boat was carrying 37 fishermen and it capsized on Monday off Ormara.

The boat was returning with the day's catch.

Two fishermen were rescued by a small fishing boat.
