Delhi police to take Afzal to Kashmir

In an effort to track down the main conspirator of the Parliament attack, Ghazi Baba, and his close aide, Tarique, Delhi police will take Mohammed Afzal, the pointman of Jaish-e-Mohammed in Delhi, to Kashmir.

Afzal, who had disclosed during interrogation that JeM supreme commander in India, Ghazi Baba, was based in Pahalgam in south Kashmir, is likely to lead the Delhi police team to his hideout.

Delhi police also expect Afzal to show them the places where training camps were being run by terrorists in Kashmir.

Afzal was arrested along with Shaukat Hussain in Srinagar following their escape from Delhi soon after the terrorist attack on Parliament on December 13.

He has been remanded to seven days' police custody by a Delhi court.
