Pak deploys SSG in sensitive
areas along LoC

Pakistan has deployed sabotage experts in sensitive areas along the Line of Control and the International Border in the Jammu-Poonch sector, intelligence sources said on Wednesday.

The Special Service Group of the Pakistani army, specialising in sabotage operations, has been inducted in sensitive areas along the LoC in Jammu-Poonch sector, including at the most sensitive Akhnoor-Pallanwala-Chammb sub-sector, the sources said.

The SSG's 'MKSA' company, known for its demolition, sabotage and disruptive capabilities, has been placed in the forward area in the Chicken-neck belt, most sensitive and demographically weak defence area in Jammu and Kashmir.

"They have been deployed for demolition of vulnerable places and points and to disrupt our line of communication in Pallanwala, Chicken-neck area of Jammu," the sources added.

The SSG units in collaboration with Al-badr, Lashkar-e-Tayiba and some other militant outfits have jointly set up a border action team to launch hit-and-run guerrilla strikes on the border, the sources said.
