Cabinet Committee on Security to meet in the afternoon

Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee has convened an emergency meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security on Thursday afternoon to discuss the terrorist attack on Parliament House in New Delhi.

Vajpayee also spoke to President K R Narayanan and apprised him of the shootout in which five terrorists were killed.

He told the president about the measures being taken to face the situation, sources in the prime minister's office said.
