Minor quake in Sikkim

An earthquake of slight intensity was felt in Sikkim region early on Monday, the meteorological department in Delhi said.

The quake, measuring 4.8 on the Richter Scale, occurred at 0411 hours (IST).

It had its epicentre at a place near Lachen and Chungthang in North district, about 100 km from Gangtok.

Official reports said no loss of life or property has been reported so far.
