Sacked Samata treasurer
hits back at Tehelka

Controversial former Samata Party treasurer R K Jain on Saturday hit back at tehelka.com alleging that it was the news portal's reporters who were "hankering for sex" and denied he had any hand in arranging for prostitutes.

New transcriptions of Tehelka tapes, released recently by The Indian Express, have Jain offering to arrange for girls to help Tehelka reporters, posing as arms dealers, get access to army officials.

"The Tehelka team, which now claims it had set out to expose corruption, were themselves hankering for sex with call girls, which was arranged by another person on the request of Mathew Samuel (Tehelka reporter)," Jain said in a statement.

Referring to reports that he had supplied the girls used by Tehelka to trap corrupt army officials, Jain said: "This is false. It was Mathew Samuel who first initiated the subject by stating that his boss, who was arriving in Delhi, would like to have some physical thing,"

"It was another person, not me, who arranged for the girls. I did indulge in some loose talk with Mathew Samuel, but that's all," he said.
