Militants in Kashmir kill cop, 2 others

Militants on Friday afternoon killed a police constable and two surrendered militants at village Soibugh in the central Badgam district of the Kashmir valley.

Police sources told rediff.com that militants opened indiscriminate on the police constable and the two surrendered militants, who were on a motorbike near Soibugh.

The three were rushed to a hospital in a critical condition, but succumbed to their injuries later.

They have been identified as Constable Saeed Athar Mohammad, Hayat Mir and Mohammad Ashraf.
