Dr Rajakumar in Coimbatore hospital

Fakir Chand in Bangalore

Dr Rajakumar who was released by sandalwood smuggler on Wednesday morning has reached Coimbatore along with his family members. He has been admitted to a city hospital.

He traveled to Coimbatore from Erode by road.

He is likely to leave for Bangalore on Thursday morning. The Karnataka government has sent a helicopter to Coimbatore to fetch the thespian to Bangalore.

Karnataka government, as a precautionary measure, has declared a holiday on Thursday for schools and colleges in Bangalore and in the Old Mysore region.

Dr Rajakumar is likely to be brought to Bangalore only in the afternoon as Chief Minister S M Krishna is away in New Delhi in connection with the Congress' organisational elections and is slated to be back only by Thursday morning.
