Naveen Patnaik retains home, IT
Orissa Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has retained home, general administration, water resources, agriculture and information technology portfolios.
A twenty-five-member two-tier coalition government comprising 16 ministers from the Biju Janata Dal led by Patnaik and nine from the Bharatiya Janata Party was sworn in Bhubaneswar yesterday.
Patnaik has allocated school and mass education, health and family welfare, works, housing, parliamentary affairs, panchayati raj, finance, planning and co-ordination and forest and environment to ministers belonging to the BJD, while food supplies, urban development, revenue and law and industries have gone to the BJP.
