9 pilgrims killed in landslide in Rishkesh

At least nine pilgrims were killed and ten sustained injuries due sudden landslides following heavy rainfall, when they were walking through a street to reach Neil Kanth Mahadeo temple in Rishikesh last night , the police said today.

The pilgrims were proceeding to the temple for darshan when the accident occurred, the police said, and added that the injured were admitted to the district hospital.
