FIR lodged against pilots of crashed plane: PTI

The Patna police have registered a First Information Report against the two deceased pilots of the Alliance Air plane which crashed on Monday claiming 56 lives, police said Wednesday.

Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police K A Jacob said an FIR was lodged with Gardanibagh police station against pilot Captain Sohan Pal and co-pilot Arvind Singh Bagga under different sections of Indian Penal Code and Aviation Act, 1982, Tuesday.

Gardanibagh police said the FIR was registered under sections 279, 337, 338 and 304(a) of the IPC and section three of unlawful interference of the Civil Aviation Act, 1982.

The FIR was lodged on the basis of the statement of Prachi Rajgarhia, one of the survivors of the ill-fated flight, police said.
