Ali Abid in Patna

The body of one more girl was recovered on Tuesday afternoon from the debris of Alliance Air Flight CD-7412. With this, the toll in the mishap has gone up to 56.

The girl was a resident of one of the houses on which the plane crashed.

But authorities have still not been able to locate the body of D Goel, one of the persons whose name was included in the passenger list of the ill-fated flight.

Meanwhile, the condition of the four survivors who had to be hospitalized is still critical, according to doctors at the Patna Medical College Hospital.

The relatives of the victims who had arrived in Patna on Monday have left with the bodies. Two bodies, however, have still not been identified.

"We cannot identify the bodies as they are in a bad state," a police officer to rediff.com

Police have cordoned off the crash site and no one is being allowed there anymore. Police said the site would be out of bounds for the public until the judicial inquiry into the accident is completed.
