Chautala to contest Rori, Narwana seats

Haryana Chief Minister and Indian National Lok Dal (Haryana unit) president Om Prakash Chautala will contest the Rori and Narwana assembly seats, the INLD announced on Saturday.

The INLD has released a list of 48 assembly seats, where the nomination process began on January 27.

The party is also trying to work out a seat-sharing agreement with the Bharatiya Janata Party and a final decision is expected tonight, reliable party sources said.

According to a senior cabinet minister, the INLD is expected to contest 60 assembly seats and the BJP the remaining 30 seats.

State Finance Minister Sampat Singh will seek election from the Bhattu Kalan assembly segment as the INLD nominee. Speaker of the dissolved assembly Ashok Kumar Arora will contest from Thanesar.
