Militants storm Red Fort in Delhi

A correspondent in Delhi

Suspected Kashmiri militants stormed the historic Red Fort in Delhi late Friday night. It is still not clear how many people were killed in the attack.

While a BBC report said three people were killed, Star News reported two casualties.

Red Fort, located in Old Delhi, houses an army unit, apart from a CBI torture cell where dreaded militants are often held.

Television reports said Lashkar-e-Tayiba has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Police have cordoned off the area and are looking for the assailants.
