BJP rules out apology on demolition issue

Bharatiya Janata Party President Bangaru Laxman Wednesday ruled out an apology from the party to any community for the demolition of Babri Masjid in Ayodhya eight years back.

"BJP has not committed any mistake, nor has anyone demanded such an apology from the party," he told reporters in Jaipur.

Laxman said it was unfortunate that the opposition parties have stalled Parliament for the last three days on the demolition issue.

When he was reminded about the Congress tendering an "apology" on the issue, Laxman said it was good for the Congress because it might have committed some mistake.
