Day curfew is lifted in Jammu

E-Mail this report to a friend

Day curfew was lifted in Jammu division on Saturday morning following an improvement in the law and order situation.

An official spokesman said though day curfew has been lifted in all the six districts headquarters, a strict vigil was being kept on the situation.

No untoward incident has been reported from anywhere in the region so far, he said.

Curfew was clamped in Jammu, Rajouri, Poonch, Udhampur, Kathua and some parts of Doda district after the massacre of at least 104 people, including some Amarnath pilgrims, in the state early this week.
