Curfew imposed in one more village in GujaratCurfew was imposed in one more village in Sabarkantha district of Gujarat as incidents of arson and stabbing continued last night, forcing the State Reserve Police personnel to open fire, while curfew in some other parts of the state was relaxed in phases for varying periods today. The police said indefinite curfew was clamped in village Lambadia, near Khedbrahma, another worst-affected town, as a rampaging mob indulged in looting and setting afire houses belonging to people of a particular community. The police had to fire 16 rounds and burst 19 teargas shells to disperse the frenzied mob as three SRP jawans were injured and rushed to Himatnagar hospital. Senior police officers had rushed to the village and brought the situation under control.
