E-Mail this report to a friend

The Lok Sabha on Thursday mourned the loss of lives of innocent people in the latest terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir and placed on record its ''deep sense of grief'' on the tragedy.

In a resolution read out by Deputy Speaker P M Sayeed during question hour, the House was informed that about 100 persons were massacred and several injured in a series of attacks by terrorists in various parts of the state during the last two days. The resolution was unanimously adopted.

The House also stood in silence for a while as a mark of respect to the memory of those killed in the attacks.
