Karnataka schools, colleges shut Wednesday too

The Karnataka Government has ordered the closure of all educational institutions in the state for the third consecutive day on Wednesday in the wake of the abduction of Kannada matinee idol Dr Rajakumar by forest brigand Veerappan.

After a high-level meeting on Tuesday, Chief Minister S M Krishna told newspersons in Bangalore that it had been decided keep educational institutions closed on Wednesday also.

To a question, he said the government offices were functioning with thin attendance.
