Gates to visit India in September

E-Mail this report to a friend

Microsoft chief and the world's richest man Bill Gates will visit India in September.

Gates's second visit to India in less than two years has been planned to coincide with Microsoft's 10 years of existence in India, top company sources told PTI today.

Although the tour programme has not yet been finalised, he will spend most of his time in New Delhi.

Gates is expected to unveil the company's internet strategy with customers, partners, developers and key government officials in the capital.

Gates's visit is being viewed with interest by industry anaysts as the company has been paying more attention to the Indian market recently considering internet growth projections and the sharp spurt in PC sales.

Microsoft has been in India since 1990 and set up a development centre in Hyderabad two years ago.
