Sonia to be leader of Opposition in LS

Congress president Sonia Gandhi, who has retained her Amethi seat and resigned from Bellary in Karnataka, will be the leader of the Opposition in the 13th Lok Sabha.

This decision has put an end to all speculation that she would nominate someone else as the party leader in the Lok Sabha, as was done last time.

Sonia has communicated her decision to former speaker G M C Balayogi, party spokesman Ajit Jogi said today.
