Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee arrived in Durban this morning to participate in the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting that will discuss issues of terrorism, stockpiling of small arms in south Asia and Africa and the marginalisation of developing nations in international trade and investment.

Vajpayee, who is accompanied by Principal Secretary Brajesh Mishra and other senior officials, was received by senior officials of the South African government and Commonwealth Secretariat.

During his-four-day stay in Durban, the prime minister will also hold bilateral talks with his British counterpart Tony Blair, South African President Thabo Mbeki and several others leaders.
