Rains likely over large parts of the West Coast

Heavy rain is likely to fall at isolated places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Kerala and Lakshadweep in the next 48 hours.

Rain or thundershowers are likely at most places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep, at many places in the Konkan, Goa, and south interior Karnataka, at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, east Madhya Pradesh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and north interior Karnataka, and at isolated places in Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, central Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Telangana and Rayalaseema.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers fell at most places in Kerala, at many places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Assam, Meghalaya, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Himachal Pradesh, the Konkan, Goa, coastal Karnataka and Lakshadweep, at a few places in Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, east Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, and north interior Karnataka, and at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir, central Maharashtra, Vidarbha, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and south interior Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.

Day temperatures were above normal in Jammu and Kashmir.

They were appreciably to markedly below normal in Orissa, Bihar, the plains of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, central Maharashtra, south Konkan, Goa, Marathwada, Vidarbha, north Tamil Nadu and interior Karnataka, and in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya and Andhra Pradesh.

Day temperatures were below normal in Saurashtra and Kutch and in some parts of south Tamil Nadu.

They were normal in the rest of the country except for Arunachal Pradesh from where data were sparse.
