45 take ill in TN after consuming hooch

At least 45 people were admitted to hospital after they consumed illicit liquor at Arcot, near Vellore, in Tamil Nadu this morning.

Reports received in Madras said at least six people died after taking the brew, but they were yet to be confirmed.
