Militants kill policeman, injure DIG in Kashmir

Deputy Inspector General of Police Ved was injured and his guard killed when militants attacked his convoy at Puthkah, about 14 kilometres from Baramulla in Kashmir on Tuesday evening.

Three others were injured.

Official sources said the incident took place when the DIG was approaching Baramulla from Srinagar.

P S Negi, a Central Reserve Police Force personnel, was killed.
