India maps sans Kashmir pop up in Kozhikode

E-Mail this report to a friend

The police are on the look out for the culprits behind a map of India sans Kashmir pasted on the wall of a hotel at Meenchanda, near Kozhikode on Tuesday.

Tension prevailed in the area for some time and police intervened to disperse a crowd which had gathered shouting anti-Pakistan slogans.

Ten hotel employees have been taken into custody for questioning in this connection. The owner of the hotel is absconding.

In a similar incident yesterday, police seized a city bus which displayed a sticker of an India map omitting Kashmir. The driver of the bus was taken into custody for interrogation.
