North America Telugu Conference

The biannual national conference of the Telugu Association of North America is held on the July 4 weekend in an odd number year, alternating with the organization's youth conference. This year the conference is being held in Ohio. Specific details will be announced in a few days.

TANA, founded in 1977, is a not-for-profit organization. In recent years, its annual conferences draw 8,000 to 10,000 people. These conferences which offers discussions and workshops related to business, culture, literature, religion, women and youth.

TANA Foundation, TANA's charitable arm, serves a number of projects in India and the United States. Three years ago, it raised about $ 200,000 for flood relief in Andhra Pradesh and donated $ 50,000 to the AP Chief Minister's relief fund and the rest of the money to Ramakrishna Mission in Hyderabad.

TANA says it accepts donations for charitable causes across India.
