Farooq wants war if Pak doesn't desist
And now, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah advocates war.
Talking to mediapersons in Jammu at a function to collect contributions for the Kargil soldiers, the chief minister said India should open other fronts if Pakistan does not end the conflict in Kargil and Jammu regions immediately.
As per Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharief's assurance to the United States, the conflict should have come to an end by now.
"But there is still no signal of peace from their side," he said.
Instead of ending their misadventure, they have intensified shelling and infiltration bids in several areas, he added.
''If they do not stop these activities, I would recommend India to open a full-scale war against Pakistan,'' he said.
