How To Use High-Tech 'Juices Up' Retail Business

The challenge of using hi-tech in retail business will be explained by Manoj Tripathi, CIO of Jamba Juice, a fast growing, nutrition-oriented, quick service business, at a gathering of Silicon Valley Indian Professionals.
Jamba Juice is rated as a model company by many business analysts. They have excelled in their ability to leverage information technology in their operations.
For the past six years he has been involved in retail business -- first as CIO of The Body Shop, the Green cosmetics company, and now as as CIO of Jamba Juice.
The talk is scheduled for July 24 at Oak Auditorium, HP Campus, 19447 Pruneridge Avenue, at 4 pm.
The topics he will address, include:
Tripathi, an engineer by training, also has a masters degree in business management. He has a diverse background that covers manufacturing, distribution, supply chain, electronic components, and Information Technology.
In addition to his experiences at Jamba Juice, and The Body Shop, he has also worked with Hyster-Yale company for about seven years, and with Raychem for about three years.
Tripathi is involved in various professional organizations. One such organization is APICS -- the Educational Society for Resource Management. He has been on its board for the last 15 years and has also served as president for couple of its chapters.
SIPA is a grass roots organization, founded in 1987 by a small group of Indian professionals to promote co-operation between US and India in hi-tech areas. In the last nine years SIPA's membership has grown to over 1,000 members and over 90 speakers have addressed SIPA.
SIPA has the unique distinction of not having had a single employee in over nine years of its existence. It organizes, among other things, workshops and seminars.
