Memorial mooted at Ramabai Nagar

The Maharashtra government has decided to set up a huge memorial in the name of architect of Indian Constitution Dr Babasaheb R Ambedkar in Ghatkopar, Bombay.

The decision was taken at a meeting under the chairmanship of guardian minister Prakash Mehta in Bombay today.

The memorial is being raised in the Ramabai Ambedkar Nagar colony in north-east Bombay in an area spread over two and a half acre of land. The memorial will comprise a library, a museum, a women's training camp, an auditorium, a hospital and a compilation of Dr Ambedkar's works.
