Sena threatens to disrupt Madras Test too

E-Mail this report to a friend

Even as the Pakistan Cricket Board today announced that it would send a team to find out if the tour of India can be gone through safely in the wake of the Shiv Sena's vandalism in New Delhi, the Tamil Nadu unit of the organisation has threatened not to allow the second Test match to be played in Madras from February 4.

In a statement in Madras, the general secretary of the Tamil Nadu unit of the Sena, S Thenmarvan, said the party was ready to face any consequences to prevent the tour.

He repeated the statement of Sena leader Bal Thackeray that Pakistan is behind the acts of terrorism in India, including the February 14 bomb blasts in Coimbatore. Terrorists trained by and in Pakistan have been killing innocent Hindu Pandits in Kashmir, he said.
