Hegde plans to return to Karnataka politics

E-Mail this report to a friend

Lok Shakti president and Union Commerce Minister Ramakrishna Hegde today hinted at the possibility of his return to state politics.

Speaking at a function organised to mark the completion of two years of his party's existence, he said it was unfortunate that the people of Karnataka were deprived of a good government in the last decade.

All his promises to the people at the time of the last assembly elections in the state while campaigning for the Janata Dal had remained unfulfilled and the people were disillusioned, he said.

At the function, party leaders and workers demanded that Hegde return to the state as chief minister. He replied, "I am your servant. Whatever you tell me, I am prepared to do. I have never said no to the party workers, but I feel Karnataka should get a good government."
