Showers expected in J&K, Himachal

Heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places in sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar plains, hills of west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir during the next 48 hours.

Southwest monsoon has been vigorous in Punjab and active in sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim and the plains of west Uttar Pradesh.

Rain or thundershowers occurred at many places in Assam, Meghalaya, Bihar plains, east Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Konkan, Goa and coastal Karnataka, at a few places in Gangetic West Bengal, hills of west Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, north interior Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep, and at isolated places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Orissa, Haryana, west Rajasthan, Gujarat, central Maharashtra, Marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh and south interior Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places in sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Bihar plains, at many places in Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar plateau, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan, north Madhya Pradesh, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep, and at a few places over the rest of the country outside Saurashtra and Kutch, Telangana and Rayalaseema where it will occur at isolated places.
