CRPF party narrowly escapes blast

A Central Reserve Police Force party had a narrow escape, but road traffic was disrupted following a powerful explosion on the national highway at Ghograpar in Nalbari district of Assam last night, official sources said.

The bomb was so powerful that a huge crater was formed at the site, disrupting road traffic.

The CRPF party escaped narrowly as the bomb exploded immediately after their vehicle passed the spot.

Senior civil and police officials rushed to the area and began an investigation.
