Two militants killed in encounter

Two militants affiliated to the Lashker-E-Toiba militants were killed in an encounter with the army at Chalwal Kote village in Rajouri district late last night.

A defence ministry spokesperson said here today that troops acting on specific information cordoned off a forest area at Chalwal Kote, where the militants were hiding. The militants were killed in the ensuing encounter. The other militants managed to escape.

An AK-47 rifle, one magazine and some explosives were seized from the hideout.
