Advani calls Gamang's vote 'subversion of mandate'

Home Minister L K Advani said today the government would have survived ''if our adversaries had not taken the assistance of the chief minister of a state, who according to all procedures of the house, would have not been allowed to vote.''

He said it amounted to subversion of the mandate and wishes of the people.

''But this does not bother us. We are satisfied that we have done our duty,'' he added.
