Election commissioner Krishnamurthy to check out MP's poll-preparedness

Election Commissioner G V G Krishnamurthy will visit Madhya Pradesh for three days from tomorrow to review the arrangements made for a free and fair assembly election in the state.

He will have extensive discussions for this purpose with the state chief secretary, the home secretary, the chief electoral officer, the director general of police and other senior officers to review the preparedness for the poll. Law and order and security measures were also on the agenda, an official release said.

He will also make ''field visits'' to Jaipur, Jagdalpur, Jabalpur, Indore and Gwalior, and would have meetings with senior district and divisional officers there, the release added.
